One of Dallas’ oldest and most venerable neighborhoods, Lakewood was established in 1882, only a few decades after the city itself was founded. Lakewood occupies an area in the city of Dallas bounded by Central Expressway to the west, Mockingbird Lane to the north, Loop 12 to the east, and Fair Park to the south. Neighborhoods throughout Lakewood are well established and consist entirely of well-kept single-family homes.
